Ready to Apply Acrylic Wall Putty

SAB® Fix GP 221
is a ready to use filler which can be used as a jointing compound and skim coat for gypsum boards. It is used to obtain a high-quality smooth surface for painting. It can also be used as a skim coat for most building surfaces including sand/cement render. It is especially suitable for repairing and touching up interior surfaces, both old and new, prior to painting. SAB® Fix GP 221 can be used to fill in joints, hairline cracks, etc. has plastic properties and hence unlike traditional fillers, it does not flake off easily and retains its bonding.
Usage:
SAB® Fix GP 221 can be used as a jointing compound or as a skim coat for following Interior surfaces:
• Gypsum Boards • Concrete Walls
• Plastered concrete block walls • Cements Boards

MIXING
Ensure that the tools used for the application are clean. Mix thoroughly before application of the material. Do not mix any other product with this material.
PRIMING
If there is any sign of flaking or dusting, it is recommended to use acrylic primer to have a stable surface.

PACKING AND STORAGE
SAB® Fix GP 221 is supplied in 20 kg Bag, 28 kg Pails

STORAGE & SHELF LIFE
Store under cover, out of direct sunlight, clear of the ground on pallets and protect from extreme temperatures. In tropical climate the product must be stored in air-conditioned environment (<25°C).
Shelf life is 12 months when stored as above.
CLEANING
Clean tools and equipment with water after use.

When applying SAB ® F ix G P 221 to o ld painted surfaces, first wash down with soda/water solution, rinse and allow to dry before application of SAB ® F ix GP 221 . Fix self - adhesive fibreglass tape to board joint. MIXING Ensure that the tools used for the application are clean. Mix thoroughly before application of the material. APPLICATION AND CLEANING OF TOOLS Apply a thin layer of SAB ® F ix GP 221 and let it dry. If required apply a second coat to get even surface. Sandpaper lightly before painting over the finished dry surface within 24 hours of application. The same method should be followed for corners. For t he corners, the jointing tape (fibre glass mesh) should be folded to form a right angle and used. Over coating Dispersion based paints can be applied after 24 Hours of application of the SAB ® F ix GP 221 . HEALTH AND SAFETY As with all construction chemicals products caution should always be exercised. Protective clothing such as gloves and goggles shall be worn. Treat any splashes to the skin or eyes with fresh water immediately. Should any of the products be accidentally sw allowed, do not induce vomiting, but call for medical assistance immediately. There are no known health hazards associated with SAB ® F ix GP 221 . Clean all the tools with water after use. Hardened materials can be removed mechanically only. Allow the waste to cure. Seal it into a suitable container and bury in landfill as per the local regulations.
