(Joint Compound) 507 - RAK GYPSUM COMPOUND • Skim coat & joint filling compound for gypsum boards. • Plaster over sand / cement rendering gypsum plaster & plaster board. • Joining of interior wallboards into the compound. • Filling of small cavities prior to painting USES Mix well and apply the paste with trowel or filling knife. Apply the filler in a thin even layer and allow drying. Apply second coat, if necessary to achieve full levelling. Do not add water or any thinning materials. Light sand paper over the dry final surface before painting preferably within 24 hours of application. Thickness of each single layer should not exceed 800 microns in application, otherwise will result in cracking upon drying. APPLICATION All mineral substrates must be free of eorescence, laitance, grease, form release oils and similar contaminants. Chalked or poorly bound substrates must be penetrated with suitable sealer or RAK Bond¬PVA. The surface must be clean and dry. SURFACE PREPARATION Do not use to fill large cracks, holes or damaged surface On dry & large surface area, sprinkle or wet the surface before the application. • The surface must be sound. • Newly constructed surface should be allowed to cure for atleast 21 days.
